Frequently Asked Questions

Is this SVG color changer free?

Yes. It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.

Does it change anything else in my SVG?

No. Only the color values are replaced; the rest of your SVG code stays exactly the same, so the file still opens cleanly in Figma, Illustrator or Inkscape.

What does "currentColor" do?

currentColor makes the icon use the text color of the surrounding HTML, so you can recolor it with CSS (for example color: red) without editing the SVG again. It is the standard way to use icons in websites and apps.

My icon is black but no color is listed in its code. Can I still change it?

Yes. Shapes without a fill color are drawn black by default; they appear as black in the list, and changing it applies the new color to the whole SVG.
